Melina Olmo,
Founder, Cultura Diplomática

Hello, I'm Melina Olmo, founder of Cultura Diplomática, a company that develops tools to strengthen the capacity for dialogue and improve communication among communities, organizations, and institutions.
I am the author of Subvenciones: Construyendo Capacidad en el Tercer Sector, a Spanish-language operational guide to grants management for Latino professionals in the nonprofit sector. Diálogos de Encuentro is our line of dialogue facilitation kits, structured for communities and organizations that need to hold difficult conversations safely and with intention.
I work with foundations and organizations that want to move beyond transactional compliance toward genuine intercultural partnership — building the dialogue systems that transformation requires. My work happens before the crisis — when dialogue is still possible.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from American University in Washington, D.C., and a Master's degree in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics. I have dedicated my career to the intersection of culture, dialogue, and institutional change — building Cultura Diplomática from a vision into a methodology, one genuine connection at a time.
We have lost human connection. I believe communication is the key to restoring it — and that when we come together genuinely, we can build something greater than any of us can build alone.
